We always welcome kids and teens who would like to perform or assist at our monthly shows. Plus, we have trivia and prizes for the audience! Special Memorial Day Weekend Show

Our next Youth Open Mic will be Sunday, May 27th, 4-7 PM. Come join us for this special Memorial Day Weekend YOM - no school the next day! We'll have lots of great music and food. Our featured artist is the amazing Eli Nichols - check out our interview with Eli to find out more about him.  Also performing will be the fantastic power trio The Black Bones.

Calling for Donations to the YOM!

The Youth Open Mic needs your help! We need a basic drum kit so that our youth bands can play at the YOMs. Having our own drum kit will make our shows run much more smoothly, and will save our young drummers the labor of having to haul their own drums just to play a couple of songs. The Youth Open Mic takes place on the fourth Sunday of every month from 4-7 pm at the Starry Plough, located at 3101 Shattuck Avenue in Berkeley.

 

The Youth Open Mic at the Starry Plough in Berkeley provides a supportive, all ages venue for young musicians and spoken word artists.  We always welcome kids and teens who would like to perform, help co-host, or assist with technical duties.  We also have trivia and prizes for the kids! The Youth Open Mic takes place the fourth Sunday of every month, and the next show is Sunday, April 22nd from 4-7 pm.  The Starry Plough is at 3101 Shattuck Avenue in Berkeley.

Grown-up accompanists are welcome, as long the main performer or performers are under 21.  Food is available at the Starry Plough Restaurant.  Admission is free.
